Downey Brand is delighted to announce that Tyson Hubbard has been appointed to serve on United Way California Capital Region’s Board of Directors.

Tyson is a partner in the firm’s Trust and Estate Litigation group. His practice focuses on trust and estate disputes and helping his clients – families, trustees, and administrators – through the midst of family conflict related to inheritance and the control of family businesses.

“I am thrilled to join such a distinguished organization that is doing important work in the Sacramento region,” said Tyson. “The United Way in Sacramento has been at the forefront of developing and implementing critical social programs designed to end poverty for local families. Their commitment to ensuring that every child has the opportunity to succeed in school is truly inspiring. I believe in the mission of working together to build strong, equitable communities where everyone can thrive. By focusing on education as the foundation for success, United Way is changing countless lives, and it is an honor to contribute to such an incredible organization.”

For nearly 100 years, United Way California Capital Region has brought local people together to make community change happen. Serving Amador, El Dorado, Placer, Sacramento and Yolo counties, the local United Way is working to meet its commitment to significantly reduce poverty in the region by helping kids excel in school, investing in families, and strengthening schools.

Tyson is a Senior Fellow of the American Leadership Forum (Class of XXVII) and a Leadership Sacramento alumni. As a Davis resident and community advocate, Tyson has been a member of various organizations in the city, including past Commissioner of the City of Davis Recreation and Park Commission and board member of the Sunrise Rotary Club of Davis.
