Bay Planning Coalition's 12th Annual CEQA Update

Downey Brand is pleased to sponsor the Bay Planning Coalition’s 2024 CEQA Update on November 19, 2024, where partners and environmental attorneys Kathryn L. Oehlschlager and Christian Marsh will be presenting.

Conference Overview

Bay planning Coalition’s Annual CEQA Update event brings together some of the Bay Area’s leading legal experts on land use and development law to provide their perspective on the complexities of CEQA reform, recent case developments, and tools for streamlining CEQA processes. This year’s briefing will take place at the David Brower Center in Berkeley, with both in-person and hybrid options available. After the event, there will be a networking session for attendees.

This year, BPC has announced that Assemblymember Buffy Wicks will be delivering the keynote address. Representing the East Bay in the California State Assembly, her district covers areas from Oakland to Richmond, including the City of Berkeley. Assemblymember Wicks is also the Chair of the Select Committee on Permitting Reform, which in collaboration with the Bay Area Council Economic Institute, is studying permitting impacts on housing, climate resilience, including water and wildfire, and clean energy in the state.
