Downey Brand water law partner Scott Shapiro will be participating in a presentation titled Planning for the Unexpected – Lessons Learned from a Flood Control Perspective at the APA California Conference on October 1, 2024 from 9:45–10:45 A.M. (PST). Scott will be presenting alongside Shelah Riggs of MNS Engineers, Michael Anderson of the California Department of Water Resources, and Joan Valle and Jason Uhley of Riverside County Flood Control and Water Conservation District. Their presentation will cover the latest planning and engineering tools for addressing public safety, handling climate related emergencies, and adapting flood control facilities and maintenance procedures in the city, mountains, and deserts.
Attendees will qualify for 1.0 hours of CM credits.
