Associate Joshua A. Dalavai Joins Downey Brand’s Litigation Practice

Downey Brand is pleased to announce associate Joshua A. Dalavai has joined the firm’s litigation practice.

Josh comes to Downey Brand with a background in litigating real estate, land use, eminent domain and inverse condemnation, construction defect, and general civil cases. He specializes in representing contractors, landowners, developers, and various business entities in both state and federal courts. Josh recognizes the stressful, often overwhelming nature of litigation and takes pride in offering his clients a supportive presence throughout all phases of the litigation process. In addition to legal guidance, he incorporates creative problem-solving and open, effective communication into his practice, committed to not only representing his clients, but also prioritizing their peace of mind.

Josh earned his J.D. from the University of California at Davis School of Law, where he received the Witkin Award for Academic Excellence. While in law school, he held multiple research assistant positions through which he made academic contributions in the fields of land use, business, and employment law.

Outside of work, Josh enjoys listening to jazz and exploring Sacramento’s restaurants and museums with his family.
