Benjamin Galic Joins Downey Brand’s Corporate Group

Downey Brand is pleased to announce attorney Benjamin Galic has joined the firm’s corporate group as an associate in its Sacramento office.

Ben comes to the firm with transactional experience from his previous role as an associate at a large international law firm, where he represented and advised sovereign wealth funds and institutional investors in co-investments and complex secondary transactions. Ben’s practice focused on representing both buyers and sellers in the purchase and sale of pre-existing investor commitments to private equity and other alternative investment funds ranging from several hundred million dollars to two billion dollars in deal size.

Ben also worked on an in-house legal team for the California Department of Transportation, where he provided legal counsel on a diverse range of public contracts.

Ben earned his J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 2022 and his bachelor’s degree from the University of California at Davis in 2018. While in law school, Ben externed with Honorable Tracie L. Brown at the Fist District Court of Appeal and was a member of USF Law Review and the USF Moot Court Program.

Outside of work, Ben enjoys camping, hiking, travelling, and seeing live music.
