Downey Brand Names New Partner

Downey Brand is pleased to announce that Kelly L. Pope has been elected to the firm partnership effective January 1, 2016.

Kelly Pope is a member of the firm’s business litigation and bankruptcy law practices and resides in the firm’s Sacramento office. Her litigation experience is vast and includes matters involving contract disputes, real property disputes, fraud, professional negligence, the Unfair Competition Law, and constitutional interpretation. She also represents public agencies and property owners in eminent domain matters, as well as secured and unsecured creditors in Chapter 7, 11, and 13 cases.

Kelly is a strong advocate for women both in and out of the workplace and in society at large, and has worked to promote the interests of women and children in the Sacramento area as a board member of Women Lawyers of Sacramento since 2010. She earned her J.D. from the University of California at Los Angeles and her B.A. from the University of Nebraska Lincoln.
