Downey Brand Promotes Trusts and Estates Attorney Hannah Shakin to Counsel

Downey Brand is pleased to announce that Hannah Shakin has been promoted to Counsel effective January 1, 2025.

Hannah is a member of the firm’s wealth transfer/estate and trust administration practice group and resides in the firm’s Sacramento office. She is a Certified Legal Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust, and Probate Law by the California State Bar, and has more than a decade of experience in wealth transfer matters. Hannah’s practice focuses on trust administration and advising fiduciaries, including trustees and executors, in the efficient and effective management of trust and estate matters. She also has extensive experience creating and developing highly tailored and comprehensive estate plans, including revocable and irrevocable trusts, wills, and powers of attorney.

Hannah serves on the board of the Jewish Community Foundation of the West and on the foundation’s scholarships and grants committee. She also sits on the board of the Sacramento Estate Planning Council, currently serving on the council’s Programs Committee. She received her J.D. at Santa Clara University School of Law in 2014 and holds a double major in Spanish and Psychology from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
