Downey Brand Welcomes New Counsel Kelly Breen

Downey Brand is pleased to announce the addition of Kelly M. Breen to the firm’s litigation team.

Breen offers her clients pragmatic advice and utilizes nearly a decade of litigation experience to achieve the best possible outcomes in both federal and state court. Breen represents a variety of corporate clients in commercial litigation with an emphasis on personal injury defense, premises liability, shareholder disputes, environmental litigation, and product liability cases. As a trial attorney with a tenacious litigation style, Breen is experienced in all aspects of litigation, including taking and defending depositions, drafting and arguing dispositive and evidentiary motions, and negotiating favorable settlements. Further, Breen has independently handled cases from start to finish, and has successfully obtained dismissals of numerous cases on summary judgment.

Breen earned her Juris Doctor in 2009 from the University of California’s Hastings College of the Law. While in law school, Breen worked as a Judicial Extern for the honorable Carla M. Woehrle and as a Law Clerk in a major crimes unit for the US District Court, Northern District of California. She earned her Bachelor of Arts, cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania in 2005.
