John Oehmke, Of Counsel, Returns to the Firm

Downey Brand is happy to welcome back John Oehmke, of counsel, to the firm’s corporate, real estate, securities, and tax group.

John brings more than twenty years of legal experience in corporate and finance with him back to the firm, where he first worked as a partner from 2004-2013. After leaving Downey Brand, John worked as a partner for Diepenbrock Elkin, before founding his own firm. John primarily helps clients buy and sell businesses, as well as structure transactions, such as mergers, asset deals, and stock deals.

John earned his J.D. from Harvard Law School in 1996. Prior to law school, John graduated with a B.S. in psychology from Georgetown University.
